In 2027 battle will focus on William the conqueror’s one thousandth birthday (W1000). Events will take place throughout the year, organised by local people and groups. This page outlines the Battle tree warden’s challenge for W1000 in 2027

The main objective of the project is to plant 1000 native British trees, in the area of battle town and its surrounds. Each tree will be labelled as part of this project (1 of W1000).

Many of us are aware that trees bring great biodiversity and life to our countryside and community. They provide amenity to the area and are therefore important to many of us.

This is a dynamic project that will grow and change over the lifetime of this project, as individuals and groups add and suggest ideas that could be included. Please do get in touch with the Battle Tree Warden with any thoughts you have or any offers to help and volunteer to make this a success.
